Mobile Application Development Training in Zambia.
This will take place at BomgoHive, Lusaka's tech Hub, where we think code to develop applications for the betterment of Human kind.
Goal: To Build a mobile app about building mobile apps with content and questions in which students will write content for their own apps.
Process: Participants work on single app on a platform of their choice. Morning sessions will be for sharing design principles, and in the afternoon we wil work on the apps by applying ideas from the morning sessions.
Week 1
Monday: Discussion on power of mobile and mobile design principles
Tuesday: Identify problem and brainstorm solution together.
Wednesday: Prototyping of ideas
Thursday and Friday: Develop basic app and interface
Week 2
Monday and Tuesday: Data models for offline storage
Wednesday and Thursday: Pull content from online source, API or Google spreadsheet.
Friday: Testing and finishing the apps.
Saturday: Demo day
Week 3:
Monday: Open discussion - Freelancing , building online identity, learning, Feedback session
Topics to be covered during training include; Power of mobile, mobile design principles, identify problem, formulate solution, prototype mockups, UI design, data models, downloading data, testing, demoing, lessons learned
